Cover Your FESA
After raising over $14,800 through our Pie in the FESA fundraiser, we wanted to keep the momentum going and introduce our new fundraiser: "Cover Your FESA." This fundraiser will go towards providing vulnerable Calgarians with access to resources and supports to handle COVID-19 safely and successfully.
Why is this important?
Imagine trying to navigate the complexities of COVID-19 — the health care system, applying for income supports, understanding workplace rights and regulations — with limited literacy and essential skills. For many, these systems are complex and they don’t know where to start. It's important for thousands of struggling Calgarians to have the resources and support they need to get through these hard times.
WHAT IS FESA DOING?
FESA is committed to helping vulnerable learners and families — wherever they are. We have supported learners through a variety of disasters, from floods to economic downturns, and this will be no different. We are supporting vulnerable learners in our city through this difficult time by providing free masks in every literacy kit.

Who will my donation support?

The Further Education Society and the Cover Your FESA fundraiser are participating in Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink. Starting February 1, as a participating charity of BFK, all donations raised by the Cover Your FESA fundraiser will be matched up to 50%! Every year BFK helps hundreds of Albertan charities and has raised over $48 million since 2013 for local youth charities.
