Family Violence Prevention Resources
In Alberta, every November is Family Violence Prevention Month, a time where we focus on highlighting the issue of domestic abuse in Alberta and providing information and resources to help those experiencing it. According to the Alberta Government, Alberta has the third highest rate of self-reported spousal violence among Canadian provinces. COVID-19 has also increased the rates of family violence due to more time spent at home and fewer options available to escape.
